Lombardiainbici 2010
Promote health, the environment and eco-sustainable behavior, enjoying a week of fun and relax surrounded by nature. This is the goal of the sixth edition of Lombardiainbici 2010, the annual event full of initiatives aimed to boost bicycle use, to be held from September 16 - 22, 2010, during the European Week of Sustainable Mobility this year entitled: "Travel Smarter, Live Better".
Starring the event, like every year, the bicycle seen as a daily means of transportation that saves energy and improves air quality, two aspects key to enjoying the nature trails and activities lined up for the event.
Lombardiainbici 2010 is a set of events promoted throughout the region by a group of associations and institution that believe in the need to support bicycle use to improve city traffic and the environment, coordinated by FIAB onlus, Federazione Italiana Amici della Bicicletta (Italian Federation of Friends of the Bicycle).
You can take your pick from the wide variety of proposed trips and ideas for fun on two wheels, discovering Milan and its surroundings.
Bicycle use in a city like Milan is an essential way to fight air pollution and traffic. Remember: bicycles do not pollute, do not crowd and do not make noise: bicycles improve traffic, the environment, your health and state of mind!
